Southampton, Great Britain
The United Kingdom's premier passenger ship port, Southampton was home to the great transatlantic liners of yesteryear. The port serves as your gateway to Southern England’s magnificent historic sites, national landmarks, charming villages as well as the great metropolis of London. It is an ideal starting or ending point for a memorable voyage.
Oporto, Portugal
Oporto is the second largest city in Portugal, located along the great gorge of the Douro river estuary in northern Portugal. One of the most beautiful towns on the Iberian peninsula, Oporto is famous for its world-renowned wine "Port," made in the upper Douro valley by a process practiced nowhere else in the world. Porto’s historical centre was awarded World Heritage status by UNESCO in 1996. The city is extremely hilly, with many buildings built into a cliff face that overlooks the river. Stairs cut into the stone run up and down the cliff face and offer a laborious but rewarding walking tour. Across the river from Porto proper, in the suburb of Gaia, are located the warehouses of notable companies dealing with Port Wine, such as Cálem, Fonseca, Sandemans, Kopke, and others.
Malaga, Spain
A gateway to so many Andalucian attractions and Costa del Sol resorts, Spanish cruise port Malaga stands out in its own right as a vibrant destination with its own unique character. This second city of Andalucia has many Moorish influences, seen at their best in the stunning Alcazaba. Built on the site of a Roman fortress between the 8th and 11th Centuries, the castle’s huge walls and fortified gates ensure a grand entrance. Inside, a restored Roman amphitheatre now acts as an outdoor entertainment centre. Immediately behind the Alcazaba and rising high above the city with spectacular views, are the ruins of the 14th century Moorish castle, Gibralfaro. Malaga-born Picasso is recognised with a history of the artist’s life at the city’s fascinating Picasso Foundation. If you are in port for the entire day then a trip to the magnificent Moorish Alhambra Palace and its gardens in nearby Granada is one of the most memorable of the many Mediterranean sights your cruise will bring you.
Malta, Malta
Malta is a Southern European country consisting of an archipelago situated in the centre of the Mediterranean. It is a microcosm of the Mediterranean. Few European countries have such concentrated history, architecture and beaches in so tiny an area. Although small, Malta has a long and rich history, with evidence for habitation going back to the Neolithic era (4th millennium B.C.). And it boasts some of the world's most ancient standing buildings (the Neolithic temples).
Limassol, Cyprus
History mixed with a little hedonism is the holiday mixture which makes Cyprus so popular and, sat about halfway along the south coast, Limassol is the ideal base for cruise visitors to enjoy what the country has to offer. Across the island, there is plenty of rugged coastline and mountain scenery to explore and enjoy along with a variety of archaeological sites. Limassol is a working town as well as a holiday resort but it has been attractively landscaped and its centre is easily walkable. Make sure you visit the 12th century fort where Richard the Lionheart married Berengaria and which now houses an excellent medieval museum. Cyprus became an independent republic in 1960. But, following the 1974 Turkish invasion and the subsequent division of Cyprus, the Greek Cypriots had to create a brand new tourist industry in its part of the island. The most popular resorts are Ayia Napa and Paphos, both renowned for safe, sandy beaches.
Ashdod, Israel
Located in the Southern District of the Israel, on the Mediterranean coast, Ashdod is the fifth-largest city in the country. The Port of Ashdod is Israel's largest port accounting for 60% of the country's imported goods. Ashdod is ideally situated for exploring one of the most fascinating cities in the world, Jerusalem.
Port Said, Egypt
Take any cruise with Egypt on the schedule and you are guaranteed a fascinating time, for this North African country is the portal to wonders dating from the dawn of civilisation. Port Said, at the head of the Suez Canal, is the key gateway for Cairo. Egypt’s largest city is a maelstrom of traffic, glorious mosques and palaces and bazaars, where shopping is excellent - as long as you bargain, haggle and then haggle again! Cairo also offers a fascinating selection of museums - the most famous being the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, which holds more than 100,000 relics and the Archaeological Museum, where you can gaze upon the face of Tutankhamun, the boy king. Just outside the city is one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world - the Pyramids at Giza. Their sheer size, scale and age will amaze you, as will the enigmatic glance of their nearby guardian – the 65 ft high Sphinx.
Athens (from Piraeus), Greece
Athens is the capital and largest city of Greece. The port of Piraeus is one of the last old-style Mediterranean ports from where you can catch ferries to all of the Greek islands and travel a short distance to Athens, Athens is an ancient city, steeped in many centuries of history. In the heart of the city lies the ancient Plaka district, with its honeycomb of streets, little shops - and tavernas that come alive at night. Situated on the north and east slopes of the Acropolis, it is rich with historic sites, such as ancient monuments and churches. Within Athens there are eight large hills, including the Acropolis, and on the outskirts, Mount Parnitha, Mount Pendeli and Mount Hymettos surround the city. A trip to Athens' most famous tourist attraction, the impressive Parthenon built on the Acropolis around 2,500 years ago, will be memorable to say the least. There are an extraordinary number of historic tourist sights in Athens and many of these are known world-wide. Some of the top Athens attractions include the Agora - a grand, ruined Roman building, Hadrian's Arch - originally the city gate linking the Roman quarters with original town of Athens and the stunning Dionysos Theatre - the world's oldest theatre where many great plays have been performed over the years.
Katakolon, Greece
The small Greek port of Katakolon was developed in the 19th century to serve the thriving local trade in currants. Today it is your starting block for Olympia – birthplace of the Olympic Games. A pretty town on the banks of the River Alpheios, Olympia lies only a short drive away from the port and its historic stadium – where the first Olympic torch was lit in 776 BC and is a fascinating site to explore. You can still see the marble starting blocks used by early athletes in the 45,000-seat arena, as well as the ruins of the Temple of Hera and the gigantic Temple of Zeus - its gold and ivory statue of Zeus was one of the Seven Wonders of the ancient world. If you have already visited Olympia, you could spend your day exploring the lush wine country north of Katakolon and sampling the local vintages.
Messina, Italy
An earthquake in 1908 flattened much of the original town, but the Sicilian cruise port Messina bounced back and it has since enhanced one of its major surviving attractions - the Duomo, a 12th century Norman church built by the unusually-named Count Roger II - with the installation of an astronomical clock in the bell tower. Made in Strasbourg in 1933, the clock face shows the planetary system representing the days of the week and the age of man. There are more Norman churches, several beautiful medieval fountains and a fascinating museum to see and visit in the town centre before you head for the areas main attractions: Mount Etna or the magnificent hill-top town of Taormina, overlooking the Bay of Giardini, which has one of the largest Greco-Roman theatres in the world and is full of fascinating nooks and crannies, arty stores, and tasty caf"s and restaurants.
Cadiz, Spain
You cruise right into the heart of historic Cadiz as immediately across the busy Avenida del Puerto from the Spanish port is the main square and shopping area. From there, it is easy to find your own way around this compact city. Behind is the 18th century cathedral (El Nueva) and the view from the top is worth the long climb up its internal stairs. The narrow streets of the old town below are lined by tall Moorish-style houses with flower-decked balconies mixed in amongst some small shops and tapas bars. Cadiz dates back to the 12th century BC so is the oldest continuously inhabited city in the western world but sultry Seville has long since outgrown its neighbour. La Giralda (the bell-tower next to its Gothic cathedral), is in Sevilles historic Jewish quarter which also has the whitewashed houses and exquisitely coloured bougainvillea that everyone associates with this lovely city.
Lisbon, Portugal
Some of the best views of the Portuguese capital come as your ship cruises along the Tagus River. You pass the Belem Tower and the impressive Monument to the Discoveries with its statue of Henry the Navigator before arriving at the Lisbon cruise terminal. Although small for a European capital, this city does sprawl a little so you would do best to concentrate on three districts - Baixa, Bairro Alto and Alfama, each with its own distinctive style. Baixa has busy streets of inviting shops, cafés and restaurants while Alfama is the atmospheric old town with narrow cobblestone streets, medieval and Moorish-style buildings, wrought-iron balconies with trailing flowers and a mix of small shops and bars. Bairro Alto is another historic district with narrow streets and is a steep climb from Baixa so look out for the 100-year-old lift (Elevador do Carmo) near Rossio Square.

- Located on Lido Deck, at the forward and starboard side of the Riviera Pool, is Al Fresco Pizzeria. If you don’t want to leave the pool area and get dressed for lunch, you can pop in for a light snack from late morning until early evening. With seating both inside and conveniently outside by the pool, children will appreciate the fast-food feel of Al Fresco. Although pizza is the speciality, you’ll find burgers, salads, open sandwiches and much more on the menu. Being high up on the Lido Deck, you’ll also get spectacular sea views from this casual eatery.

- Following on from the popularity of Arcadian Rhodes, Gary has extended his fine dining experience by launching a second restaurant at sea - Oriana Rhodes. The Curzon Room, with its light and airy ambience, has been transformed into a high quality restaurant for which Gary has created a number of unique signature dishes. Seating up to 96, including a number of intimate tables for two, you can enjoy traditional British cuisine with a contemporary twist.

- The Conservatory, an informal self-service restaurant, is located in the aft section of Lido Deck, with easy access to the surrounding decks and facilities. The Conservatory is a light and airy room with a casual atmosphere and decorated with murals reminiscent of an English country garden. High up on Lido Deck, The Conservatory affords spectacular sea views with floor-to-ceiling windows and offers seating both inside and al fresco on deck. It opens early and provides breakfasts (including a healthy option), extensive buffets for lunch and afternoon tea. In the evening a section of The Conservatory is converted into Le Jardin, an informal bistro with an exciting menu. But don’t forget to make a reservation - it books up quickly!

- Positioned midships on E Deck, The Peninsular Restaurant is one of two great formal dining rooms on Oriana. Taking its name from the ‘P’ in P&O (Peninsular and Oriental Steam Company) The Peninsular Restaurant seats almost 500 people. Adorned with a wall length mural of ‘The Journey of Odysseus’, you will find classy and contemporary décor with exquisite surroundings, as well as an enticing menu night after night. Large windows on either side provide magnificent views as you dine on the superb cuisine. And don’t miss the decadent chocolate buffet!

- You will find Anderson’s, midships, on Promenade Deck, just aft of Royal Court and neatly and conveniently wrapped around Monte Carlo Club. The panelled walls, deep sofas, comfortable club chairs, classical paintings and traditional rugs create an ambience of a time-honoured London Club. Both elegant and welcoming, Anderson’s is ideally located for a break from the tables in the Monte Carlo Club or intermission from your retail therapy in Knightsbridge; and perfect for a pre-dinner drink or warming nightcap. With his bronze bust on display in these fine British surroundings, P&O founder Arthur Anderson would be proud to be the namesake of this elegant room.

- High up on Sun Deck at the forward end of the ship you will find The Crow’s Nest. This classy cocktail bar offers Oriana’s most spectacular panoramic views. During the day you can enjoy shimmering sea vistas in this comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, with seating on two levels. But it’s in the evening, as the lights go down, that The Crow’s Nest is at its best; with some mood setting piano music in the background, you can’t find a better place from which to watch a breathtaking sunset at sea.

- Lord’s Tavern, the quintessential British sports bar, situated on the Promenade Deck, has undergone a makeover. Due to its popularity, it has been extended into Jackpots and now offers a brand-new ‘pavilion style’ seating area. A tribute to the world-famous Lord’s Cricket Ground, it is shrouded in cricket memorabilia with a canopy adorning the bar. Plasma screens, an enhanced sound system, glorious sea views and places to relax, both inside and out, make this bar the perfect venue for watching the latest sporting events or lounging the day away. As the sun dips on the horizon, Lord’s Tavern becomes a hive of activity with live music, karaoke and a dance floor to take you into the night.

- The Pacific Lounge, at the stern of the ship on Promenade Deck, is Oriana’s entertainment centre. Soft comfortable furnishings and contemporary colours create a friendly and inviting feel in the Pacific Lounge, and a tiered floor offers excellent viewing from anywhere in the room. During the day you can attend craft classes and enjoy leisure pursuits here, and at night you can take in a hilarious comedy or a sophisticated cabaret. There’s a full-service bar for liquid refreshment and a large wooden dance floor that comes alive at night.

- Chaplin’s Cinema is located aft of midships on D Deck, with its entrance on the port side just off the Art Gallery. This outstanding cinema offers excellent viewing from any of its 200 comfortable seats, and boasts an exceptional sound system. So sit back and enjoy the latest blockbusters or your favourite old classics, which are shown throughout the day and evening. Chaplin’s is also used for lectures, port enhancement talks, and much more

- The 650-seat Theatre Royal is located in the forward part of the ship on Promenade Deck. A traditional theatre colour scheme of rich red, blue, gold and maroon, combined with a Shakespearean Tudor rose motif and heraldic design, was employed to give the feel of a West End theatre. - Midships on Lido Deck is Oriana’s Crystal Pool, the largest swimming pool on any cruise ship in the world. Boasting an impressive bronze water sculpture by Andre Wallace, the Crystal Pool has plenty of sun loungers around its deck for sunbathing and just relaxing. Sun Deck above offers some wind protection to the pool, as well as additional sun loungers, which overlook and surround the pool below.

- At the forward end of Lido Deck, on the starboard side of the Oasis Spa, is Oriana’s gym. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer amazing views while you exercise on the large range of the cardiovascular and resistance equipment. You’ll also find free weights and an exercise studio, where you can participate in aerobics, circuit training, yoga and more. Experienced personal trainers and nutritional experts are there to assist you with your fitness programme and will check that you are exercising safely and effectively. And when your workout is finished, it’s only a few steps to a relaxing massage or soothing sauna in the Oasis Spa.

Booking information
To reserve a cabin(s), you must complete our reservations enquiry form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your enquiry, we will contact you via phone or email, to advise of availability and confirm the final price is correct. A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation notice and at this stage the deposit is processed on your credit card or your bank deposit has been received. Your deposit then becomes subject to the cancellation policy of the cruise line and Cruise Republic. These are stated in the terms and conditions.
When your booking has been confirmed we will send you your cruise booking number for the cruise line. Once you receive your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date without incurring a penalty. If you are booking via phone, please first make sure you have read the terms and conditions. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the customer to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Amendments
Once you have paid a deposit against your cruise, any changes made to the booking will incur an amendment fee of $25 plus and applicable fees set you by the cruise line. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy.
Cancellations
Once a deposit is made towards your cruise holiday it is deemed that you have accepted our terms and conditions, so are subject to any cancellation fees. Bookings canceled after the deposit is paid, will incur a cancellation fee of $200. Plus any additional cancellation fees set out by the cruise line. Please see the Cruise Company's terms and conditions for cancellation and amendment policy.
Payments
Payments towards your cruise holiday made by credit cards are subject to a transaction fee of 2.5%. Cruise Republic accept Visa and Mastercard Cards only. Payments made by bank deposit do not incur any transaction fees nor do payments made using the BPAY payment system.
Privacy
Privacy of your information is an absolute priority to us. When you book we request whether you are interested in receiving further offers from us. If you decline, we will not email you with such offers. We also always give you the opportunity to unsubscribe and opt out of receiving these emails. Introduction
These are the Terms & Conditions under which you book and travel
on any P&O Cruises product we sell you. You are bound by these
‘Terms & Conditions’, so it is important that you read them carefully.
We/Our/Us means Carnival plc, trading as P&O Cruises and,
where the context permits, includes the Carrier. In selling you
cruises and issuing you tickets, Carnival plc acts as a sales agent
for P&O Cruises.
You are entering into this contract with Carnival plc trading as
P&O Cruises, ARBN 107 998 443.
Certain laws such as the Trade Practices Act 1974 (Cth) and any
applicable state based consumer legislation (from here known
as ‘consumer laws’), are in place for your protection. They are
designed to ensure the services provided by us (and, where
applicable, the Carrier), are provided with due care and skill and are
reasonably fi t for a holiday. These Terms & Conditions do not alter
any protection given to you by consumer laws.
Your agreement with us
When you fi rst make a payment towards your cruise holiday, you
accept P&O's Terms & Conditions on behalf of all passengers in the
booking. Once we have received a payment, an agreement on these
Terms & Conditions becomes effective between all passengers in
the booking, Carnival plc and, where applicable, the Carrier.
Fare types
When you holiday with P&O Cruises you can choose to purchase a
Full Fare or one of our Discounted Fares. Passengers who purchase
a Full Fare enjoy more fl exible payment and cancellation conditions.
Please refer to the Payment and Cancellation sections below.
Payments
Once you have decided on your holiday, we will need a deposit to
secure your booking. It is essential that deposits are received by
us within 3 days from when the booking is made. If payment is
not received within this time, our system will automatically cancel
your booking.

Please note, all passengers within a booking must travel on the
same fare type. It is essential that you make fi nal payment by the
due date and in accordance with the fare type you have purchased.
If payment is not received, bookings will be automatically cancelled
and our ‘Cancellation & Refunds’ policy will apply.
If you are making a booking within the ‘fi nal payment due’ period of
your selected cruise, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Travel insurance
We strongly recommend you purchase appropriate
international travel insurance at the time you pay your
deposit. If you do not purchase travel insurance, you will not
be able to claim for any cancellation charges, medical costs,
repatriation and other expenses that may arise if things do
not go according to plan.
Cancellation & Refunds
Although we would love to see you on board, we understand that
plans can change. Should you need to cancel your holiday, we ask
that you notify your Agent or our Customer Service Team at
your earliest convenience. The refund or cancellation charge that will
be payable depends on the amount of notice you give us and the
fare type you have purchased, as follows:

Changing your cruise holiday
Please note, if you choose to change your booking to a different
cruise, or to a different sector of a World Voyage, it will be
considered as a cancellation of your original booking. In this
instance, our cancellation charges, as per our Cancellation &
Refunds policy, will apply.
Your fare
Your fare is determined by the fare type, the number of passengers
in your stateroom, its location on the ship, the amenities offered,
port charges, government taxes, any airfares including taxes and
fees, any transfers and any hotel accommodation. Child fares,
where applicable, only apply when children occupy the 3rd or
4th bed in a stateroom.
Fare changes
Once booked, your fare is only subject to any increased taxes,
which will be added to the fare or to your on board account.
Sometimes we will release promotional fares. These can be offered
and withdrawn at any time. If you decide to change to one of these
promotional fares, you will need to cancel your existing booking and
our Cancellation & Refunds policy will apply.
Stateroom changes
We reserve the right to change the stateroom allocated to you at
any time at our discretion. In addition, when a booking is made as
a ‘Guarantee’ it will be berthed at our discretion and allocated a
stateroom in the grade booked or higher at a later date.
Fuel supplement
We may elect to impose a fuel supplement at any time, which will
apply to new bookings only. The total price quoted to you at the time of
booking will be inclusive of any applicable fuel supplement.
Booking changes & ticket requests
Once you have made your booking, please check your invoice, ‘Cruise
Personaliser’, or with your Travel Agent to ensure the details are correct.
Should you need to make changes to your booking or request tickets,

* One original passenger from the booking must always remain in the
stateroom. If the cancelling passenger was the only person that qualifi ed
the booking for a promotional fare (eg: past passenger fare), additional
and remaining passengers will no longer be entitled to this promotional
fare. The booking will revert to a different fare and the remaining
passengers will need to pay the difference in cost, if any.

Airfares
Our Customer Service Team can assist you in booking fl ights to connect
with your cruise, in this instance, we act only as a booking agent
on behalf of the airline. Bookings are subject to availability and the
following conditions apply:-
• Airfares can only be purchased in conjunction with a cruise and travel
will be on fl ights and airlines nominated by P&O Cruises.
• Airfares are in Australian dollars per person and include: GST (where
applicable), fees, taxes and surcharges.
• Airfares do not include stopover accommodation, transfers or
baggage handling.
• P&O Cruises cannot accept any responsibility where airline schedules
or seat availability requires overnight accommodation before or after
your cruise.
• We make every effort to ensure that fl ight arrangements we make
for you are appropriate, however we cannot accept responsibility
for missed connections between your fl ight and the ship which are
beyond our control.
• Fees, taxes and surcharges can vary by gateway city, routing,
destination and carrier and are subject to change without notice. If
there is an increase to the fees, taxes or surcharges, we can collect
the additional payment prior to your cruise holiday, even if your
booking has already been paid in full.
• Airline rules and conditions may require full non-refundable payment
prior to P&O Cruise’s normal payment conditions.
• Alterations to fl ights after tickets/vouchers have been issued can only
be made through our Customer Service Team and will be subject to
our booking changes & ticket requests policy in conjunction with the
airlines fare rules and conditions.
• If you choose to cancel your air for any reason, our Cancellation &
Refunds policy will apply in conjunction with the airlines fare rules and
conditions.
Pregnancy
We are unable to accept any passengers who will have entered their
24th week or later of pregnancy by the end of the cruise.
Minimum age to travel
To ensure suitable supervision there needs to be at least one passenger
18 years or older in each stateroom. Passengers under the age of
18 years must travel with a parent or guardian over the age of 21 years.
We welcome children 12 months and over to cruise with us, except on
Arcadia and Artemis, which are dedicated to adults over 18 years of age.
We are unable to accommodate infants less than 12 months due to
limited neo-natal facilities on board. Please note, infants aged 6 months
and over are permitted to travel on selected cruises, please enquire at
the time of booking.
Children
Parents/guardians are responsible for children at all times. Children
under the age of 16 years must not be left unaccompanied on the ship
whilst visiting a port of call. Infants aged between 6 months and 2 years
must remain with their parent/guardian at all times.
If a child displays dangerous or disruptive behaviour, the ‘Rights of the
Captain’ will be applied to both parent/guardian and child.
Requirements to travel
Passports, visas and vaccinations are your responsibility.
Without the necessary passport, visas and/or vaccinations local
authorities may deny you boarding, prevent you from going ashore,
issue a fi ne or deny the ship entry into the port.
Passports are required and must be valid for a minimum of 6 months
beyond the date of the cruise return. In addition, travel on our cruises
will not revalidate an Australian re-entry visa.
Illicit items
To ensure a safe and enjoyable holiday for all our passengers, it will be
necessary for our staff and others parties, such as port and government
agencies, to search you and your luggage. You agree to allow such
searches. We can deny boarding or disembark any person in possession
of any weapons or illicit substances.
Alcohol & gambling
We are committed to the responsible service of alcohol. There may be
times when we consider it appropriate to refuse the service of alcohol to
a passenger for any reason.
Any alcohol purchased ashore may be collected at the gangway for safe
keeping and will be returned to you on the last day of your cruise.
Passengers must be 18 years of age or older to purchase and drink
alcohol or gamble on board P&O Cruises ships at all times. Passengers
aged 16 and 17 years may be bought beer, cider or wine to drink with
a meal in the restaurants when accompanied by an adult. Government
issued photo identifi cation may be requested.
Your health
We care about the health and safety of our passengers. To assist,
please advise us at the time of booking if you have any condition that
requires medical attention, medication or special treatment. We may
also ask you to complete a health questionnaire.
If a passenger has a condition that we decide may seriously affect the
enjoyment, health or safety of themselves or any other person on board,
we can refuse or cancel a booking, where necessary. We will give
reasonable consideration when reaching this decision and will advise you
as soon as possible. Provided you have given us all relevant information
about the condition at the time of booking, you will be entitled to a full

On board Medical Centre
Each ship has a Medical Centre that is staffed by registered doctors
and nurses, who are available during scheduled times to provide
medical care for everyone on board. They are also available 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week for medical emergencies. Our Medical Centre
is only for medical needs arising on board and cannot cater for
treatments that you know you will require while on holiday.
We are not a healthcare provider and may not be held liable for the
sickness, injury or death of any passenger arising from any advice,
treatment, care, services or any omission by medical staff. These
medical providers exercise their own medical judgement and expertise.
On board medical charges
All cruises on our ships are outside the scope of Australian
Medicare, New Zealand Accident Compensation Corporation
(ACC) and private health insurance. Consultations, treatments and
medications are charged at private rates in Pounds Sterling and
must be paid by you and claimed through your travel insurance.
Other service providers
While we specialise in cruising holidays, you may choose to book
other services such as fl ights, accommodation, transfers and shore
excursions. We will assist you in making these arrangements;
however, we act only as a booking agent. The service providers are
solely responsible for the information and service offered and their
conditions will apply. Where we arrange these services for you, we
will assist in addressing any concerns you may have.
Any arrangements made by or for you are your responsibility and
entirely at your own risk.
Ship & itinerary changes
We will do everything we reasonably can to make sure everything
goes according to plan; however, sometimes changes can happen
that may affect your holiday experience. This could include
weather, mechanical diffi culties, civil unrest or any other unforeseen
circumstances.
In addition, we may charter all or part of the ship or remove the ship
from service where this becomes necessary. We may change the
itinerary, ship or cancel the cruise due to operational or commercial
requirements.
We will notify you of these changes as soon as we can. Where we
cancel a cruise or make a signifi cant change to the ports in your
itinerary prior to departure, you will have the choice of:
• The new itinerary;
• An alternative cruise of comparable standard, if available; or
• Cancelling the cruise for a full refund of your fare paid.
If we are required to change the itinerary or cancel the cruise due
to safety, maritime law, severe weather or to protect human life
or health, we are not required to provide any compensation. With
this in mind, please do not make any important arrangements or
meetings based on the proposed itinerary.
Rights of the Captain
If a passenger seriously affects the safety, well-being or enjoyment of
themselves or any other person on board, the Captain has the right
to confi ne, sedate or disembark the passenger. In such cases, we
are not responsible for any expenses including your return home. In
addition, you will not be entitled to any refunds. While the Captain will
always act reasonably in these circumstances, you accept that the
safety, well-being and enjoyment of everyone on board comes fi rst.
Leaving the cruise early
If you are required or choose to leave the cruise for any reason, we
are not responsible for any expenses, including your return home.
This also applies if you do not return to the ship after a port visit in
time for sailing. If we assist you with any costs, you will need to repay
us on your return. In addition, you will not be entitled to any refunds.
Legal matters
In the unlikely event you have reason to take legal action, you agree
to use all reasonable efforts to bring the issue to our attention as
soon as possible.
Where permitted by consumer laws and other laws, we shall not be
liable for:
• Loss of, or damage to, any luggage or other belongings
• Sickness, injury or death, unless caused by our proven negligence.
In addition, our liability will be reduced in proportion to any
negligence or fault on your part.
This contract is governed by the laws of New South Wales.
You agree that any action you bring against us will be heard in
New South Wales, unless consumer laws allow you to bring an
action elsewhere in Australia.
You agree only to bring action against Carnival plc and not
P&O Cruises or any of Carnival plc’s other related bodies
corporate as defi ned in the Corporations Act 2001(Cth), or any
other person involved or connected with the ship. You agree that
Carnival plc holds the benefi t of this promise for itself and also
on behalf of the other parties it is intended to protect. If you do
take action against any of those parties you will be required to
compensate for the full amount of the actual damage or loss
sustained, and any costs and expenses incurred by Carnival plc
and the other person or persons against whom you claim.

Privacy laws safeguard your personal details.
Personal information
During the booking process and your cruise holiday, we ask for
information about you. We collect this information so you receive
the highest level of personalised service. After your holiday, your
information is stored so we can inform you of any special offers
or obtain feedback. If you do not wish to receive such offers or be
contacted to provide feedback, please let us know. We may also
be required to pass your information onto various third parties such
as immigration offi cials, service providers and insurers.
If you consult the medical staff on board, any information shared
with them may be made available to relevant people within our own
organisation and also externally to medical specialists, insurance
providers and our professional advisers.
Security cameras
For the safety and security of our passengers and crew, we use
Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) to monitor and record public areas
on board all our ships. If necessary, this footage may be viewed
by our own personnel, advisers and external parties with a relevant
interest. We are not responsible for any consequences arising from
the viewing or other use of this footage.
